Overview of Doctor Education Study Program Faculty of Medicine University of Lampung
Medical School, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Lampung was established in 2002 and has graduated more than 1000 students. The undergraduate period is seven semesters for approximately 3.5 years with a maximum of 158 credits.
The Undergraduate Medical School curriculum model refers to the SPICES curriculum that includes Student-centered learning, Problem-based learning, Integrated and Inter-professionalism, Clinical exposure, Elective, and Systematic.
History of the Faculty of Medicine
The authorities of Universitas Lampung discussed the idea with relevant institutions such as Bappeda, Regional Office of Health, Regional Office of Depdikbud, RSUD Dr. H. Abdul H. Abdul Moeloek, IDI, BKKBN and Commission E of Lampung Provincial DPRD. The Rector of Rector of Universitas Lampung at that time, Prof. Muhajir Utomo, M.Sc followed up on the idea and gave recommendations so that the plan to establish the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Lampung was approved to include in the Strategic Plan (Renstra) of Lampung University from 1996 to 2005.
On January 27, 1999, the Preparation Team for the Establishment of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Lampung, was formed based on the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Lampung Number 014/J26/1999. The person in charge was Prof. Dr. Ir. Sutopo Ghani Nugroho, M.Sc., and the Chairman, Dr. Sutyarso, M.Biomed., who was assigned to prepare a proposal for the opening of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Lampung.
On January 16, 2001, based on the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Lampung Number 93/J26/2001, the Technical Team for the Preparation of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Lampung, was formed with Prof. Dr. Ir. Tirza Hanum, MS (Assistant Rector for Academic Affairs) in charge; Head of Academic Affairs Dr. Wahyu Purwaganda, M. Sc, Secretary Dr. dr. Efrida Warganegara, M.Kes., Sp. MK members: dr. Taufiqurrahman Rahim, Sp. OG; dr. RE Rizal Effendy; dr. Amran Harun, Sp. A; Dr. Sutyarso, M. Biomed; dr. Ida Taufiqurahman, dr. Asep Sukohar; Head of Cooperation and Physical Planning Prof. Dr. Ir. Sutopo Ghani Nugroho, M. Sc with members Dr. Ida Farida Rivai and Ir. Andhi; Secretariat: In Sriwiyata, B.B.A., Indrayati Puteri and Zelda Mulyanti. Afterward, on January 20, 2001, the Rector and the Technical Team presented the proposal in presence of the Health Sciences Discipline Commission Team, Prof. Dr. Asri Rasyad, and Prof. Dr. Ma’rifin Husin in Jakarta. The results of this meeting was a cooperation agreement (MOU) between the Rector of Padjadjaran University and Universitas Lampung with No. 36/J06/4/TU/2001: 36/J06/4/TU/2001 and 1994/J26/KL/2001 on May 16, 2001 in Bandung.
To further accelerate the opening of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Lampung, the Organizing Committee for the Preparation of the opening was formed, replacing the Technical Team that had been formed the previous year, based on the Rector’s Decree Number 3/J26/ 2002 on March 7, 2002 with the Chairman: Prof. Dr. Ir. Tirza Hanum, MS Vice Chairman: Prof. Dr. Ir. Sutopo Ghani Nugroho, M.Sc, Organizing Section, Chair: RA Bustomi Rosyadi, MS; Secretary: Ir. Andhi; Treasurer; H. Sukisman, S.E.; Trial and Formulation Section, Chair; Dr. dr. Efrida Warganegara, M.Kes., Sp. MK Vice Chair: dr. Ida Fitriani Basyuni, M.Kes.; Secretary: dr. Asep Sukohar, Members: dr. Taufiqurrahman Rahim, Sp. OG.; dr. RE Rizal Effendy; dr. Amran Harun, Sp. A; Dr. Sutyarso, M. Biomed; Prof. Dr. Ir. Abdul Kadir Salam, M.Sc.; Ir.RA Bustomi Rosyadi, MS, dr. Muhartono, dr. Masykur Berawi, Sp.A and dr. Khairun Nisa; Secretariat: Syamsul Huda, S. During the application process for the operational permit of the Faculty, Ir. RA Bustomi Rosyadi, MS, was assigned to consult with the Dirjen Dikti. Afterward, the operational permit was granted at a meeting on October 25, 2002, and issued in the Decree of Dirjen Dikti Depdiknas RI Number 3195/D/T/2002 dated October 28, 2002, under the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Furthermore, Universitas Lampung prepared the admission of new students for the Medical Education Study Program for the first academic year 2002/2003. Based on the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Lampung Number 159/J26/KP/2002 in its implementation, the Medical Education Study Program of Universitas Lampung was first led by the Chairman of the Preparatory Committee of the Faculty of Medicine (PPFK): Dr. dr. Efrida Warganegara, M.Kes, Sp. MK, Secretary of Education and Student Affairs: dr. Taufiqurrahman Rahim, Sp. OG and Secretary of General Administration, Personnel and Finance: dr. Amran Harun, Sp. A.
Based on the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Lampung Number 163/J26/KP/2003 to assist the implementation of the learning process, there were additional positions of structural officials of PPFK Unila, namely the Head of PPFK: Dr. dr. Efrida Warganegara, M. Kes., Sp. MK, Secretary for Academic Affairs: dr. Taufiqurrahman Rahim, Sp. OG, Secretary for General Administration and Finance: dr. RE Rizal Effendy, and Secretary for Student Affairs: dr. Amran Harun, Sp. A.
In 2005, there was a change of the Structural Officials of PPFK Universitas Lampung, namely the Chairperson: Dr. dr. Efrida Warganegara, M. Kes., Sp. MK, Secretary for Academic Affairs: dr. Yuzar Harun, Sp.B, Secretary for General Administration and Finance: dr. RE Rizal Effendy, and Secretary for Student Affairs: Dyah Wulan Sumekar, SKM. M. Kes.
In 2007, the Medical School, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Lampung, applied for its first accreditation. Through the Decree of Dirjen Dikti Depdiknas RI Number 020/BAN-PT/Ak-X/S1/IX/2007, the Faculty of Medicine was accredited B.
In its implementation to further stabilize the work, there were several changes in structural positions within PPFK Unila in the year, namely the Chairperson: Dr. dr. Efrida Warganegara, M. Kes Secretary of Academic Affairs: dr. Waluyo Rudiyanto, Secretary of General Administration and Finance: dr. Jhons Fatriayadi, Secretary of Student Affairs: Dyah Wulan Sumekar, SKM. M.Kes.
On March 15, 2011, the Medical School of Universitas Lampung, changed its status to the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Lampung. The establishment of a separate Faculty of Medicine based on the Minister of Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 Year 2011 and there was a change of new structural officials at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Lampung based on the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Lampung Number 131/UN26/KP/2011, namely Dean: Dr. Sutyarso, M. Biomed, and Decree of the Rector of the Universitas Lampung Number 207/UN26/KP/2011, namely Assistant Dean 1 (Academic and Cooperation): Dr. Muhartono, M.Kes. Sp.PA; Assistant Dean 2 (General and Financial Affairs): dr. Susianti, M.Sc Assistant Dean 3 (Student Affairs and Alumni): dr. Masykur Berawi, Sp. A.
On February 14, 2013, Medical School, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Lampung was accredited A based on the Decree of BAN-PT Number 051/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-XV/S/II/2013.
In 2014, there was a change of structural officials because the institution mourned the loss of a leader and the best lecturer, namely dr. Masykur Berawi, Sp.A. (Assistant Dean 3). He was replaced by dr. Betta Kurniawan, M. Kes. as Assistant Dean 3 based on the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Lampung Number 914/UN26/KP/2014.
In 2015, because the tenure of Dr. Sutyarso, M. Biomed as the Dean was over, there was a succession of leadership in the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Lampung. In the Senate meeting, a new leader was elected and confirmed based on the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Lampung Number 93/UN26/KP/2015, namely dr. Muhartono, M.Kes. Sp.PA (Dean), and the appointment of Vice Dean based on Rector Decree Number 294/UN26/KP/2015, namely Vice Dean 1 (Academic and Cooperation): Dr. dr. Asep Sukohar, M.Kes. Vice Dean 2 (General and Financial Affairs): dr. Fitria Saftarina, M.Sc. Vice Dean 3 (Student Affairs and Alumni): dr. Betta Kurniawan, M. Kes.
