The Faculty of Medicine at Lampung University began accepting students on October 28, 2002 based on the Operational Permit from the Director General of Higher Education.
Fully inaugurated on March 15, 2011 through a Regulation of the Minister of National Education, UNILA Medical Faculty remains committed to providing excellent, innovative medical education relevant to future health challenges.

HISTORY
The aspiration of the people of Lampung to have a Medical School was initiated in November 1998 by the Minister of Health Prof. Dr. dr. Farid Anfasa Moeloek, Sp. DAN. and the Governor of Lampung, Drs. H.Oemarsono.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
The organizational structure is the framework governing the hierarchy and internal relationships within the faculty. It includes the dean, vice deans, academic departments, and administrative staff. Each unit has its specific roles and responsibilities.
